Tae Gi Sword Draw and Cuts
Katas, Korean martial arts form movements, illustrate the various Sam Rang Do practitioner’s Tae Gi sword techniques for the draws and the cut. In these videos, Mr. Garland demonstrates a series of katas for the head, wrist, side, throat, and then combinations of several places on an opponent’s body.
Demonstration video of single cut from the draw through a triple rolled mat. The rolled mats medium and the subsequent cutting action simulates tissue displacement.
In this video, Mr. Garland’s technique demonstrates countless of hours of practice whereby a single cut from the draw position slides through three mats rolled around a center of a bamboo shoot imitating a human bone showing the decisive speed and devastating power of the Tae Gi sword cutting technique from the draw.
